5 Activities for Your At-Home Chesterfield Family Photo Session
Spend a Typical Morning at Home
Maybe you want to document a glimpse inside of your morning routine with your family. Do you enjoy snuggles on the sofa, making pancakes, reading books, or something else? This season with your sweet little ones goes by so quickly, and it is so special to have these moments frozen in time. Think about what you enjoy doing as a family and what you’d like to remember most!
Play in the Yard at Your Chesterfield Family Photo Session
What does your family love doing in your yard? Swinging on a tire or porch swing, climbing trees, playing with bubbles, having a picnic, or something else? Some families enjoy just generally playing together in their yard and seeing which moments unfold. I love including a blanket with backyard play, and kids usually love running under it!
Tend to the Garden
Tending to your fruit, vegetable, or flower garden with your kids is the perfect activity for family photos! Grab a woven basket and some rain boots, and harvest away with your little ones. If gardening is important to your family, these are photos you’ll want to have to hold on to those memories. You can even bring out the hose and play in the water!
Lay by the Pool
Do your kids love swimming? If you have a pool, this is the perfect summertime activity with young kids. We’ll blow up adorable pool floats, grab some sunglasses, and spend a morning playing while documenting some of the best days of your life! My favorite pool floats are pastel and white round pool floats, and I love coordinating pastel towels. You can combine this with a poolside picnic and also enjoy some fruit by the pool.
Give Your Baby a Sink Bath
If you have a young baby and a farmhouse sink, naturally, a sink bath is the perfect activity for your family. We’ll document your baby playing in the water and all the fun you have alongside your baby. It’s truly so sweet and a small moment in your day that you’ll love freezing time on.

These are just some of my favorite activiites to do with families during their at-home family session. And even better, when we choose just one or two activities, moments often unfold outside of those activities, too.
